IT Support & Managed Services

Managed IT Services

We operate as your external IT department. We take on the network, workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, backup and security, with one point of contact who knows your infrastructure. We do not sell technical hours: we take responsibility for availability, security and documentation of the estate.

Who it is for

  • Businesses that have outgrown managing IT themselves
  • Companies that do not want to hire an IT manager and technicians
  • Organisations with many systems and no unified management
  • Boards that want one accountable party instead of five suppliers

When we are NOT the right choice

  • If an internal IT team exists and only overflow hours are needed
  • If there is no appetite to change what generates repeat incidents
  • If responsibility is expected without access and documentation

PROCESS

The process

Indicative times from signature of the proposal, subject to hardware availability. Every project is shaped to the size and the needs of the client.

  1. 01Infrastructure audit

We record workstations, servers, network, licences, providers and backups, and rank the findings by severity.Time: 2-5 working daysDeliverable: Full inventory and risk report

  2. 02Transition plan

We agree what is fixed immediately, what is scheduled and what stays as it is, with a clear cost against each action.Time: With the quotationDeliverable: Priority order and timeline

  3. 03Onboarding and documentation

We deploy support and monitoring tooling, document credentials and contracts, and define communication channels.Time: 5-10 working daysDeliverable: Equipment, licence and access registers

  4. 04Day to day operation

Every request is recorded so a history exists. One person knows your estate, so the conversation does not restart from scratch each time.Time: OngoingDeliverable: One point of contact and a request history

  5. 05Review and planning

A periodic review covering incidents, response times, cost and what needs upgrading in the period ahead.Time: Per reporting periodDeliverable: Management report and upgrade plan

From practice

The turning point for most businesses of 20 to 100 people is the same: IT has become too large for someone to handle as a side duty, and too small to justify hiring a team.

At that stage the problem is not technical, it is ownership: five suppliers and nobody accountable for the whole. The managed model replaces that gap with a single point of contact who knows the entire estate and answers for it.

Prerequisites

  • A completed initial infrastructure audit
  • Administrative access to the systems we take on
  • Agreement on the fixes assessed as critical
  • A nominated contact on your side

Cost

Charged monthly based on users, devices and SLA level. The model is deliberately independent of incident volume, so that both sides share the same interest in the infrastructure not breaking.

We do not publish a price list. Every proposal follows a site survey and separates hardware from labour.

What moves the cost

  • Number of users and devices
  • Number of systems and sites under management
  • SLA level and availability requirements
  • Condition of the estate at the point of transition

Frequently asked questions

How does this differ from a support contract?

A support contract covers response and maintenance. The managed model goes further: we take on the role of the IT department, including planning, equipment decisions and budgeting.

Do we lose control of our infrastructure?

No. The infrastructure, licences and documentation belong to you and are handed over kept current. The credential and contract register is yours, regardless of who maintains it.

What if something is already in poor condition?

It appears in the audit and enters the priority list with a cost. We do not accept availability responsibility for a system we are not permitted to fix, and we say so from the outset.

Do you also cover security systems?

Yes. Cameras, access control and alarms can sit within the same agreement with periodic inspection, so one party is accountable for the whole estate.
