Security System Maintenance
We maintain security systems through scheduled checks on CCTV, access control and alarms. We verify that recording is actually happening and that retention days are what you believe they are, apply security updates to the equipment, and hand over a status report with upgrade recommendations after every visit.
Who it is for
- Companies with an installed system that is never actually checked
- Sites where footage has to be available when it is requested
- Operations with several locations and mixed equipment
- Companies that want predictable cost instead of emergency call outs
When we are NOT the right choice
- If the equipment has reached end of life and needs replacing instead
- If access to the equipment for scheduled checks cannot be given
- If you only want a fault repaired, with no scheduled programme
PROCESS
The process
Indicative times from signature of the proposal, subject to hardware availability. Every project is shaped to the size and the needs of the client.
01Initial audit
We record what exists and in what condition, and what needs fixing before the scheduled programme starts.Time: 2-5 working daysDeliverable: Equipment register and findings report
02Setting the frequency
We set how often checks happen, based on the number of points and how critical the site is.Time: With the proposalDeliverable: Schedule of checks
03Scheduled check
Field of view and focus checks, verification of recording and retention, sensor and battery checks, and equipment security updates.Time: RecurringDeliverable: Status report after each visit
04Report to management
What was checked, what was fixed, and what should be scheduled for the next period.Time: PeriodicDeliverable: Consolidated report and upgrade recommendations
| What is included | What is not included |
|---|---|
| Equipment register and initial findings report | Building work and redecoration after installation |
| Scheduled checks on CCTV, access control and alarms | Electrical installation beyond powering the equipment |
| Verification of recording and retention days | Connection to a third party alarm receiving centre, unless agreed separately |
| Sensor, battery and power checks | Monthly internet or mobile data subscription |
| Security updates on the equipment | |
| Status report and upgrade recommendations |

From practice
A security system does not announce that it has stopped working properly. The disk fills, a camera drifts out of focus, a sensor battery runs down. All of it surfaces on the day the footage is asked for, which is always far too late.
That is what the scheduled check exists for. Its most important step is not cleaning the hardware, it is verifying that recording genuinely exists for the number of days you believe it does.
Prerequisites
- Access to the site for the survey, and floor plans if they exist
- Mains power at the equipment positions
- A stable internet connection wherever remote access is required
- A named decision maker on your side for the project
- Access to the equipment and its administrative credentials
Cost
A contract with a monthly fee based on the number of points and devices and on the SLA level, not on an hourly rate. The point is to make the cost predictable instead of a series of emergency call outs.
We do not publish a price list. Every proposal follows a site survey and separates hardware from labour.
What moves the cost
- Number of points and devices
- Frequency of the scheduled checks
- Number of sites and the distance between them
- SLA level and priority for on site attendance

Put your systems on a scheduled check
We start with an audit of what exists and a findings report, before agreeing a frequency.
