Remote Video Monitoring & Alerts
We set up secure remote access to your cameras and security systems, so you can see the site from wherever you are. Access is never built by opening ports on the recorder to the internet, and alerts are configured so that the right event reaches the right person instead of everyone receiving everything.
Who it is for
- Companies with several facilities that want one consistent view of all of them
- Managers who need to check the site outside business hours
- Sites with an existing system that is currently exposed to the internet
- Operations where an event should arrive as an alert, not as a phone call
When we are NOT the right choice
- If there is no stable internet connection at the site
- If you want guarding from an alarm receiving centre, which we do not provide
- If the existing recorder does not support a secure access method
PROCESS
The process
Indicative times from signature of the proposal, subject to hardware availability. Every project is shaped to the size and the needs of the client.
01Review of current access
We check how remote access is set up today and identify anything exposed to the internet.Time: 2-5 working daysDeliverable: Findings report with priorities
02Secure access design
We choose the access method to suit the infrastructure, without the recorder being exposed.Time: Alongside the reviewDeliverable: Two options with trade-offs
03Implementation and alerting
We configure users, rights and which event reaches whom, so alerts do not disappear into noise.Time: Depends on the infrastructureDeliverable: Configured access and alert rules
04Handover
We hand over written instructions and train the users.Time: On completionDeliverable: Mobile access instructions
| What is included | What is not included |
|---|---|
| Review and documentation of the current access setup | Building work and redecoration after installation |
| Secure remote access without exposing the recorder | Electrical installation beyond powering the equipment |
| User and rights configuration | Connection to a third party alarm receiving centre, unless agreed separately |
| Alert rules per event and recipient | Monthly internet or mobile data subscription |
| Mobile access instructions |

From practice
The most frequent finding when we take over an existing system is a recorder with a forwarded port and a factory default password. The system installed to protect the site has become the easiest way into the network.
The fix rarely needs new hardware. It needs the system moved onto a separate VLAN, the direct exposure closed, and access delivered through a controlled route instead.
Prerequisites
- Access to the site for the survey, and floor plans if they exist
- Mains power at the equipment positions
- A stable internet connection wherever remote access is required
- A named decision maker on your side for the project
Cost
Delivered as implementation work, and it can be folded into a maintenance contract with a monthly fee. The contract model is based on the number of devices and the SLA level, not on an hourly rate.
We do not publish a price list. Every proposal follows a site survey and separates hardware from labour.
What moves the cost
- Number of sites and devices
- Whether the existing system supports secure access
- Whether a VPN between sites is required
- Number of users and alert rules
