FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what clients ask before every engagement: how a support agreement is priced, what it covers, how quickly we respond, whether there is a commitment, what happens out of hours, and which projects we do not take on. No generalities and no hidden terms.

Cost and pricing

What does monthly support cost?

Charging is monthly, based on the number of users and devices and the SLA level, not by the hour. We publish no price list, because two companies of the same headcount can have completely different infrastructure. The price follows the inventory.

Is there a commitment, or can we work without an agreement?

We can work on a project basis with no agreement. An agreement makes sense when you want predictable cost, guaranteed response times and preventive maintenance. The free audit commits you to nothing and the report is yours.

Do you bill by the hour?

No. The model is a monthly contract based on the number of users and devices and the SLA level. Hourly billing gives us an incentive for incidents to happen. Under contract, our interest is that they do not.

What does one of your proposals contain?

At least two costed options with the trade-offs of each, and hardware separated from labour. We do not publish a price list: every proposal follows a survey, because two companies of the same headcount can have completely different infrastructure.

What we take on

What exactly does the agreement include?

Unlimited remote support during business hours, scheduled visits or on-site priority, preventive maintenance and security updates, 24/7 monitoring of critical systems, backup verification, licence management, guaranteed response times and periodic reporting to management.

Can you take on all of our IT?

Yes, that is our main model. We take on network, workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, backup, telephony and security systems, with one point of contact. We always start from an infrastructure audit and a findings report before accepting responsibility.

What do you not take on?

We do not undertake penetration testing, certification or legal compliance projects, or security awareness training. We also do not accept availability responsibility for infrastructure we are not permitted to fix.

Do you take on maritime projects?

Yes, and it is one of our core areas: Starlink Maritime, VSAT, vessel network infrastructure with operational and crew networks kept separate, serial-to-Ethernet with Moxa, and remote support under way without waiting for the next port.

Do you support a shipping company office, not only the vessels?

Yes. Vessels and offices can be covered by the same contract, so there is a single point of contact for the whole infrastructure, from the office to the deck.

Support and response

How quickly do you respond to a problem?

Response times are agreed in writing per severity category, in the agreement. Note the distinction: response time is how quickly work begins, not how quickly the problem is solved. Resolution depends on the nature of the fault, response does not.

Do you provide onsite support as well?

Yes. We check remotely first, because that resolves the majority of day to day incidents without waiting. When the problem is physical it escalates to a visit, and the engineer arrives already holding the history.

What happens if something serious breaks out of hours?

Monitoring of critical systems runs 24/7 and alerts arrive regardless of the hour. Out of hours support coverage is defined explicitly in the SLA level you choose, so there is no ambiguity at the moment it matters.

Do you work outside Athens?

We are based in Attica, with immediate coverage of the metropolitan area. We take on onsite projects throughout Greece and in Cyprus, with travel for larger projects by arrangement. For shipping clients, remote vessel support does not depend on where the vessel is.

Do you work with clients outside Greece?

For services that travel without limits, yes: managed IT and remote support, Microsoft 365 and cloud, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, VoIP, monitoring and consulting, across Europe and worldwide. For work that needs physical presence, such as structured cabling or camera installation, we stay within Greece, with travel for larger projects by arrangement. For vessels, support has always been global regardless of location.

Is there 24/7 monitoring?

Monitoring of critical systems is 24/7 and alerts arrive regardless of the hour. Baseline support coverage, however, is within business hours. Out of hours and holiday coverage is defined explicitly in the SLA level you choose.

Security and backup

How do you handle backup and cybersecurity?

As one plan, not two subjects. Backup is designed against agreed RTO and RPO and tested in a real restore. On security we work on technical measures: endpoint protection and EDR, MFA everywhere, email security and control of internet exposure.

Do you verify that backups actually restore?

Yes, and it is part of the contract. A backup that has never been tested in a real restore is not a backup, it is an assumption. Verification is included in the preventive maintenance.

Do you do penetration testing or compliance certification?

No. We do not take on offensive testing, certification or legal compliance, nor staff security training. We work on the technical hardening of the infrastructure: endpoint protection, email security, firewalls and internet exposure control.

How we work together

Who will be the engineer looking after us?

One point of contact who knows your infrastructure and answers for it. Every request is logged, so a history exists per user and per device and no time is lost repeating the same diagnosis.

What happens to the infrastructure if we stop working together?

It stays yours, together with its documentation: network diagram, equipment and licence register, configuration files and credentials. We do not lock clients in through infrastructure only we can manage.

How long does the survey take, and when do we get a proposal?

The survey typically takes 2 to 5 working days from the point we agree what to look at. The proposal typically follows 3 to 7 working days later. Both depend on the size of the site and on whether any documentation already exists.

What do we receive when a project is handed over?

A network diagram, an outlet labelling schedule, an equipment and licence register, the configuration files, and the credentials handed over securely. The documentation stays yours, whoever continues the support.

Will you work with our existing suppliers?

Yes, where needed. We take on coordination with other trades and with providers, and the points that depend on them go into the timeline explicitly as dependencies, so it is visible who is waiting on whom.
